Chaohui Wang 64def2e3ce Migrate Enhanced notifications to SwitchPreferenceCompat ...

Settings use SwitchPreferenceCompat instead of SwitchPreference in the
future, for new Material 3 UI.

Also clean up unused fields in its controller.
