4ca23b4e06 GNOME-standard autogen.sh scripts automatically run 'automake -a'. -a 
installs any necessary files that are required in a GNU-standard
install, such as COPYING, INSTALL, mkinstalldirs, etc.

So begone, automake-installed files.
