Kieran Bingham 97227ebed3 libcamera: pipeline: Utilise shared MediaDevice pointers
Adapt the PipelineHandler::acquireMediaDevice() support function to
return a shared pointer instead of the underlying raw pointer.

Propagate this update to all pipeline handlers that use the MediaDevice
and store a std::shared_ptr<MediaDevice> accordingly.

This is required to support media devices that are potentially shared
among multiple pipeline handlers, like a dewarper implemented as v4l2
m2m device.

Barnabás Pőcze 1ef8981c39 libcamera: pipeline: rpi: Do not set timestamps to 0 if unavailable
`SensorTimestamp` and `FrameWallClock` should always be available. However,
if that ever changes or they are not available for some unforeseen reason,
setting them to 0 is not ideal. That makes it more complicated for the
application to detect these cases (since they have to check the existence
either way), and if an application blindly assumes e.g. that `SensorTimestamp`
is monotonically increasing, then receiving a timestamp of 0 will likely
cause issues.

So simply omit them from the request metadata if they are not available.

Naushir Patuck 5f94209b1d pipeline: rpi: Fix for enumerating the media graphs
When there are multiple entities between the sensor and CFE device (e.g.
a serialiser and deserialiser or multiple mux devices), the media graph
enumeration would work incorrectly and report that the frontend entity
was not found. This is because the found flag was stored locally in a
boolean and got lost in the recursion.

Fix this by explicitly tracking and returning the frontend found flag
through the return value of enumerateVideoDevices(). This ensures the
flag does not get lost through nested recursion.

This flag can also be used to fail a camera registration if the frontend
is not found.

Handle multiple scaler crops being set through the rpi::ScalerCrops
control. We now populate the cropParams_ map in the loop where we handle
the output stream configuration items. The key of this map is the index
of the stream configuration structure set by the application. This will
also be the same index used to specify the crop rectangles through the
ScalerCrops control.

CameraData::applyScalerCrop() has been adapted to look at either
controls::ScalerCrop or controls::rpi::ScalerCrops. The latter takes
priority over the former. If only controls::ScalerCrop is provided, the
pipeline handler will apply the same scaler crop to all output streams.

Finally return all crops through the same ScalerCrops control via
request metadata. The first configure stream's crop rectangle is also
returned via the ScalerCrop control in the request metadata.

If a user application did not clear the stride field when setting up a

needed.

Fix this by removing the call to validate() completely, leaving the

Julien Vuillaumier 5ed35fca68 libcamera: pipeline: Rename pipelines to a shorter name
The PipelineHandlerFactoryBase class has a name that is propagated to
the PipelineHandler instance it creates.

In present implementation, this name comes from the
REGISTER_PIPELINE_HANDLER registration macro. It corresponds to the
stringified name of the PipelineHandler derived class. Therefore,
PipelineHandler factories and instances names can be quite long such as
"PipelineHandlerRkISP1".

A libcamera user may have to explicitly refer to a PipelineHandler name
for configuration purpose: one usage of the name can be to define a
pipeline handlers match list and their priorities. It is desired, for
user convenience, to use a short name to designate a pipeline handler.
Reusing the short pipeline names already defined in the meson option
files is an existing and consistent way of naming pipelines.

This change adds an explicit name parameter to the
REGISTER_PIPELINE_HANDLER registration macro. That parameter is used to
define the name of a pipeline handler factory, instead of the current
pipeline handler class name.

Each pipeline registration is updated accordingly. The short name
assigned corresponds to the pipeline directory name in the source tree.
It is consistent with pipelines names used in meson.

Changing the pipeline name has an impact on the IPA modules: each module
defines a IPAModuleInfo structure. This structure has a pipelineName
member defining the pipeline handler name it shall match with.
Therefore, each internal IPA module definition has to be changed to have
its IPAModuleInfo pipelineName name updated with the short pipeline
handler name.

In addition to this pipelineName member, the IPAModuleInfo structure
also has a name member, associated to the IPA module name. Having
renamed the pipelines to a short name, the pipeline name and the IPA
module names of the IPAModuleInfo structure are the same: for in-tree
IPA, they correspond to the respective pipeline and IPA subdirectories
in the source tree. However the IPA name could be different, for
instance with a close source IPA implementation built out-of-tree. Thus,
it makes sense to keep the IPA name in that structure, as the 2
definitions may not always be redundant.

Laurent Pinchart 626172a16b libcamera: Drop file name from header comment blocks
Source files in libcamera start by a comment block header, which
includes the file name and a one-line description of the file contents.
While the latter is useful to get a quick overview of the file contents

incorrect names being used to start with.

Laurent Pinchart 9ba0c3fef8 meson: Tag all installed files
Meson uses tags to sort installed files in categories, and makes it
possible to install a subset of the files using the '--tags' argument to
'meson install'. This is typically used by distributions to split the
runtime, development and documentation files into separate packages.

By default, meson tries to guess the correct tag for installed files,
but can't always do so properly. Mark the install targets that meson
can't guess with the correct install_tag.

As the feature has been introduced in meson 0.60, bump the minimum meson
version. The latest LTS release of all major distributions that
libcamera currently targets ship a recent enough meson version.

Jacopo Mondi c65e40b848 libcamera: Use CameraConfiguration::orientation
Replace the usage of CameraConfiguration::transform with the newly

Rework and rename the CameraSensor::validateTransform(transform) to

apply to the sensor to obtain it.

Port all pipeline handlers to use the newly introduced function.

This commit breaks existing applications as it removes the public

William Vinnicombe d477ee97bc pipeline: rpi: vc4: Allocate more embedded data buffers
If the pipeline runs out of embedded data buffers, then it will pass
the frame to the IPA without the metadata. The IPA then has to use the
delayed controls as inputs to the algorithms. This can cause problems
with the subsequent algorithms if the sensor did not action the
controls, especially with the autofocus as that doesn't have controls
which can be passed in lieu of the metadata.

Reduce the likelihood of this by increasing the number of embedded data
buffers, as they are small so a generous number can be allocated.
