042649f044 libcamera: camera_sensor: Cache rotationTransform_
The rotationTransform_ depends on a V4L2 control whose value does not
change for the whole lifetime of the camera.

Instead of re-calculating it everytime the camera is configured, cache
it at properties initialization time.

85befa816e libcamera: Remove transform from V4L2SubdeviceFormat
Commit 6f6e1bf704 ("libcamera: camera_sensor: Apply flips at
setFormat()") extended the CameraSensor::setFormat() function
to apply vertical/horizontal flips on the sensor based on the
supplied Transform. To pass the Transform to the function the
V4L2SubdeviceFormat structure has been augmented with a Transform
member.

However as the newly added Transform is not used at all in the
V4L2Subdevice class, it should not be part of V4L2SubdeviceFormat.

Fix that by removing the transform field from V4L2SubdeviceFormat
and pass it as an explicit parameter to CameraSensor::setFormat().

6f6e1bf704 libcamera: camera_sensor: Apply flips at setFormat()
Augment the CameraSensor::setFormat() function to configure horizontal
and vertical flips before applying the image format on the sensor.

Applying flips before format is crucial as they might change the Bayer
pattern ordering.

To allow users of the CameraSensor class to specify a Transform,
add to the V4L2SubdeviceFormat class a 'transform' member, by
default initialized to Transform::Identity.

Moving the handling of H/V flips to the CameraSensor class allows to
remove quite some boilerplate code from the IPU3 and RaspberryPi
pipeline handlers.

No functional changes intended.

1a614866a2 libcamera: camera_sensor: Validate Transform
The two pipeline handlers that currently support Transform (IPU3 and
RaspberryPi) implement it by operating H/V flips on the image sensor.

Centralize the code that validates a Transform request against the
sensor rotation capabilities in the CameraSensor class.

The implementation in the IPU3 pipeline handler was copied from the
RaspberryPi implementation, and is now centralized in CameraSensor to
make it easier for other platforms.

The CameraSensor::validateTransform() implementation comes directly from
the RaspberryPi pipeline handler, no functional changes intended.

29d6d0e93b libcamera: Move IPA sensor controls validation to CameraSensor
The CameraSensor class validates that the sensor driver in use supports
the controls required for IPA modules to work correctly.

For in-tree IPA modules, whose pipeline handlers already use
CameraSensor there's no need to validate such controls again.

Remove controls validation from the IPU3 and RkISP1 IPA modules and rely
on CameraSensor doing that at initialization time.

The list of mandatory controls is expanded to add V4L2_CID_ANALOGUE_GAIN
without which IPA modules cannot function.

The new requirement only applies to RAW sensors, platforms like UVC and
Simple are not impacted by this change.

While at it, expand the sensor driver requirements documentation to
include V4L2_ANALOGUE_GAIN in the list of mandatory controls a sensor
driver has to support.

7f1e39e3e2 libcamera: camera_sensor: Clear camera flips after opening the device
We clear the V4L2_CID_HFLIP and V4L2_CID_VFLIP controls immediately
after opening the camera device. This means the camera's Bayer format
and mbus codes will be in the sensor's "native" order, and we document
this to be the case so that it can be relied upon.

Clearing the flips is harmless where sensor flips do not affect the
Bayer order.

This also fixes a bug in the Raspberry Pi pipeline handler where the
native Bayer order was being computed wrongly, but the new behaviour
here will be helpful to other pipeline handlers too. A subsequent
commit will tidy up the Raspberry Pi pipeline handler in this area as
it can now be simplified.

a18c9f0490 libcamera: camera_sensor: Transform CameraSensor::sizes()
In CameraSensor, the mbusCodes() and sizes() accessor functions
retrieves all the supported media bus codes and the supported sizes
respectively. However, this is quite limiting since the caller
probably isn't in a position to match which range of sizes are
supported for a particular mbusCode.

Hence, the caller is most likely interested to know about the sizes
supported for a particular media bus code. This patch transforms the
existing CameraSensor::sizes() to CameraSensor::sizes(mbuscode) to
achieve that goal.

The patch also transforms existing CIO2Device::sizes() in IPU3 pipeline
handler to CIO2Device::sizes(PixelFormat) on a similar principle. The
function is then plumbed to CameraSensor::sizes(mbusCode) to enumerate
the per-format sizes as required in
PipelineHandlerIPU3::generateConfiguration().

f484857994 libcamera: camera_sensor: Cap resolution to max frame size
Since commit 96aecfe365 ("libcamera: camera_sensor: Use active area
size as resolution") the CameraSensor::resolution() method returned the
sensor's active pixel area size.

As the CameraSensor::resolution() method is widely used in the library
code base to retrieve the maximum frame size the sensor can produce,
in case it is smaller than the pixel area size the returned size cannot
be used to configure the sensor correctly.

Fix this by returning the maximum frame resolution the sensor can
produce, or the pixel area size in case the sensor embeds and ISP that
can upscale and the supported maximum frame size is thus larger that
the pixel array size.

f490a87fd3 libcamera: camera_sensor: Accept entities exposing the ISP function
Camera sensors can include an ISP, which may be reported as a separate
entity from the pixel array in the media graph.

Support such sensors by accepting MEDIA_ENT_F_PROC_VIDEO_ISP as a valid
entity type. This allows using sensors that can be fully (or at least
meaningfully) configured through the ISP's source pad only. Sensors that
require further configuration, on the ISP sink pad and/or on the pixel
array's source pad, will require further extension to the CameraSensor
class.

79266225d2 libcamera: camera_sensor: Check control availability from idmap
The presence of mandatory and optional controls is checked in
CameraSensor::validateSensorDriver() by trying to retrieve them. This
causes an error message to be printed in the V4L2Device class if an
optional control isn't present, while this isn't an error.

To fix this, use the control idmap reported by the V4L2Device to check
for controls availability. The function can now print the whole list of
missing controls, making debugging easier.

5e1f0d8b54 libcamera: camera_sensor: Restrict sensor info to raw sensors
YUV sensors don't provide the necessary information to fill
CameraSensorInfo, as they include an ISP and provide a higher-level API
that doesn't always expose low-level information. The CameraSensor class
makes low-level V4L2 controls mandatory for all sensors, which prevents
usage of YUV sensors with the simple pipeline handler.

Make CameraSensor::sensorInfo() available for raw sensors only. This
won't introduce any regression in pipeline handlers that currently use
the sensorInfo() function as they all operate with raw sensors, and
won't be a limitation for the simple pipeline handler as well as it
doesn't use sensor info. If part of the sensor info (such as the active
pixel array size for instance) becomes useful to expose for YUV sensors
in the future, the sensorInfo() function can be extended to report that
information only and skip data that is only available for raw sensors.

d7fd40ea2b libcamera: camera_sensor: Add frame length limits to CameraSensorInfo
Sensor frame length is made up of active and inactive (blanking) lines.
The minimum and maximum frame length values may be used by pipeline
handlers to limit frame durations based on the sensor mode capabilities.

Store the minimum and maximum allowable frame length values (in lines)
in the CameraSensorInfo structure. These values are computed in
CameraSensor::sensorInfo() by querying the sensor subdevice
V4L2_CID_VBLANK control limits. This in turn means that V4L2_CID_VBLANK
is now a mandatory subdevice control.
