pawlet-device/pawlet-system are platform_apis:true and use hidden APIs (SystemProperties, ServiceManager) — they only link inside the AOSP tree, not from a normal Gradle project. PawletClient reaches the same data via bindService() to an exported component instead, compiles against the public SDK only, and is meant to be published (see publish/) so any app can just implementation() it. Also fixes README's Device API example: PawletDevice has no getBrandName(Context) method, swap to getDeviceModel().
